Failure To Launch

How I navigated launching a website while being MOM.

Launching a website is an exciting endeavor, but it can also be overwhelming, especially when trying to balance it with the responsibilities of everyday mom life. Here are some tips I used to help me navigate this busy time with ease.

1. Set Realistic Goals

When starting a website, it's important to set realistic goals that take into account your other commitments as a mom. Allocate specific time slots for working on your website and stick to them to ensure progress without neglecting your family.

2. Prioritize Tasks

Make a list of tasks that need to be completed for the website launch and prioritize them based on urgency and importance. This will help you focus on the most critical aspects first and avoid feeling overwhelmed by trying to do everything at once.

3. Delegate When Possible

As a mom, you already have a lot on your plate. Don't hesitate to delegate tasks related to the website launch if possible. Whether it's asking for help from family members or hiring freelancers, sharing the workload can lighten the burden and make the process more manageable. I'm thankful for Madison who has helped me on the back end and made this all possible.

4. Utilize Time-Saving Tools

There are many tools available that can help streamline the website development process and save you time. From website builders to social media schedulers, leveraging these resources can free up more time for your mom duties while still making progress on your website. Finding a pre made theme alleviated the burden of starting from scratch. Shopify had many wonderful ones that were easy to tweak and make my own.

5. Stay Organized

Organization is key when balancing website launch tasks with mom life. Use calendars, to-do lists, and project management tools to stay on top of deadlines and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. This will help you maintain a sense of control and reduce stress.

6. Take Breaks

It's essential to take breaks and recharge, especially when juggling website launch responsibilities with mom duties. Schedule regular breaks to rest, relax, and spend quality time with your family. This will help prevent burnout and keep you energized for the tasks ahead. It helps when you surround yourself with cheerleaders pushing you along the way. I'm fortunate to have a few entrepreneurial friends nudging me to finish this up.

By following these tips, I found I successfully was able to navigate the process of launching this website while managing the demands of everyday mom life. Remember to be patient with yourself, prioritize self-care, and celebrate your achievements along the way. You've got this and so do I!
